Juntos is a three-level high school Spanish program created by CCI. The focus of this innovative and comprehensive program is communication. Among the many components, Juntos offered a film series shot in Hispanic countries around the world, magazines with fun articles and activities, and consumable Spanish-for- Spanish-speakers books that offered higher-level grammar and tips for heritage students.
Art & Entertainment–Fireworks!
With George Plimpton, the honorary Fire Marshall for New York City, we created “Fireworks!” Featured on A&E, Fireworks was nominated for the best feature-length documentary on TV.
Pearson/Prentice Hall–Juntos Film Series
For Pearson, CCI developed a three-level high school Spanish language program, called Juntos—or Together! Each unit of the program was “set” in a Spanish-speaking country, which was featured in the unit magazine. With a video crew from Puerto Rico, we traveled to twelve Spanish-speaking countries, where we filmed teenagers with their families and friends, in their homes, neighborhoods, and favorite hangouts. American high school students gained a real understanding of the lives of these teens—learning the real value of communicating in a second language!
